We share God’s Agape love through various educational programs such as English, cooking, computer and musical instruments. Our aim as teachers is to be a channel of God’s love so that we are not only in class to teach but to form and sustain relationships built on the love of God and our ministry.

Situation in Hong Kong

  • Migrant Domestic Workers minimum wage is capped at $4,520 per month
  • Despite having a $120 raise last year, research conducted by the Justice Center in Hong Kong suggests that more than 35% of foreign domestic workers have debt burdens equal or greater than 30% of their annual income
  • On average, Justice Centre’s research revealed, domestic workers who secure a job while in their home country will need to work for seven months in Hong Kong in order to pay off debt

    • How SP responds?

    • SP responds to the situation of the ladies having to come to Hong Kong to work by empowering them with different skills they can use in order to better their chances of finding better paying jobs back home in Indonesia.
    • Our sister church, SPIn, also educates the ladies with how to save money as well as their basic rights in Hong Kong.
    • Every week, we meet up with the ladies and have our classes to build a community where they are able to freely share and grow with one another.
